measures 6-3/8" x 7-1/2" and contains 24
pages with heavier paper covers. Contents
are bound by brass pins. Covers show
soiling, and heavy use wear. Contents show
some light soiling, and some insect
damage at bottom edge of pages. Contents
are well bound, unmarked, totally intact,
and in fair to good used condition. There
are no off odors.

early 1850s when Richard Ward concocted
an all purpose liniment which he sold to J.H.
Sands in 1856. Sands moved to Winona,
Minnesota Territory, Ward in 1867 sold the
Linement “rights” to J.R. Watkins of
Plainveiw, Minn.
