Sergeant Samuel 2 Deacon Edward was born 25 June 1851 He worked on a farm during the summers and attended school during the
winters until eighteen years of age He taught writing school one year He studied medicine under the tutorship of JL Morgan old school for
three years He studied under an eclectic physician for eighteen months matriculated in the Eclectic Medical Institute of Cincinnati Ohio and
was graduated from the same in 1887 He is a member of Ohio State and of the Indiana State Medical Association and Ex president of the
Indiana Medical Association Is a member of the Masonic Order and of the Modern Woodmen of America and has been camp physician
also Secretary of the Board of Health of Brownstown Ind He joined the Presbyterian Church in Van Wert Co Ohio in 1882 and was an
ardent worker in church and Sunday School He served as an elder in the church
married 10 June 1874 Mary E Gifford of Atkinson Ill

He

Now that you asked the question, I went digging thru boxes of family data and found miscellaneous bits and pieces as well as the
following from  websites listed below for your peruse.
Lawrence Converse - born 1886, Ohio, became a Certified Pharmacists in Illinois in 1917, the family must have moved West as I have
numerous black and white photos of the Converse Drug Store/pharmacy, building, houses, etc. dating back to 1916 thru 1928 and marked
on back Mr Converse all in the El Segundo/Long Beach, Ca. area.  His sister Lelah Converse born 1896, Illinois and died in 1966 in
California was the brother to my husbands great-grandmother, some of the history in difficult to piece together so I hope this portion helps.
