The Cucamonga winegrowing district has become
increasingly famous over the years. It centers
around the town of Cucamonga, straddling
Highways 66 and 99 and spreading north to
Etiwanda and Alta Loma and south to Ontario,
Guasti, and the Riverside County line.

The first post office in the community
opened under the name Zucker in 1887 and
closed in 1900. The community changed its
name to Guasti after Secondo Guasti,
founder of the Italian Vineyard Company,
which operated in the area.
